Science at Warren Wood Primary School
We are very proud to be a Primary Science Quality Mark school.
At Warren Wood Primary School science is a highly valued area of the curriculum and is taught in line with the new National Curriculum. Science has a heavy emphasis on investigation involving prediction, observation, testing and evaluation. We believe that it is good practice for children to be encouraged to actively learn, by developing their own investigations based on ideas given by the teacher, and their own ideas. These ideas will be increasingly founded in scientific knowledge and understanding.
The staff and some of the children have been involved in creating a set of Science Principles for our school, which are displayed throughout the school. These principles underpin everything that we do in science at Warren Wood. Click on the image of the treet at the top of this page to take a closer look.
There are lots of great websites related to all aspects of science, below are links to some that you might want to explore at home.
