In the Early Years at Warren Wood we believe in providing our children with a safe and stimulating environment enabling them to learn through play, building up all the skills, knowledge and understanding that they need to be successful lifelong learners. We understand the importance of practical learning experiences and strive to equip children with a love of learning and a natural curiosity.
Our day consists of a balance of child initiated and adult led activities and we also value the importance of the outdoor environment to develop children’s thinking and problem solving skills.
We focus on the main areas of :
Prime Areas
- Physical development
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication and language
Specific Areas
- Literacy
- Maths
- Understanding the World
- Creative Development
Your child will grow and learn so much this year, through topics based around children’s interests and the world around them. We aim to have lots of fun on our learning journey.
