Growing numbers of children are presernting with anxiety related issues, especially since Covid-19. In school we use The Colour Monster in Early Years and key Stage One to support children's understanding of feelings and emotions.
In Key Stage Two we develop their understanding using The Zones of Regulation. The Zones of Regulation supports children to recognise their emotions and to create their own 'toolkit' they can use to self-regulate.
Every class has an interective display where the children can name their feelings, promoting acceptance, discussion and self-regulation.

Or why not take a look at what the Stockport Parenting Team can offer? They are hosting webinars on HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD WITH THEIR EMOTIONAL REGULATION this term. This is for parents of children up to 10 years old. The dates are: 9/3/23, 4/5/23, 6/7/23, 7/9/23 and 9/11/23 9.30am – 11.00am
(These are the same seminar repeated half termly so you only need to join one).
The session will include useful information about understanding brain development, emotions and how to sensitively support your child to soothe them
