SEMH

Growing numbers of children are presernting with anxiety related issues, especially since Covid-19. In school we use The Colour Monster in Early Years and key Stage One to support children's understanding of feelings and emotions.

In Key Stage Two we develop their understanding using The Zones of Regulation. The Zones of Regulation supports children to recognise their emotions and to create their own 'toolkit' they can use to self-regulate.

Every class has an interective display where the children can name their feelings, promoting acceptance, discussion and self-regulation.

Please take a look at this NHS page if you have concerns about your child's mental health. They are primarily aimed at parents/carers of young teens but are beneficial for those in Key Stage Two This May Help Me

If you are finding your child is showing signs of disregulation the recorded webinar will explain why it is important to regulate our emotions and give helpful strategies to use at home when supporting a child in your care.Emotional Regulation
